Dlaň životu, a common benefit organization, runs a shelter for pregnant women in need. The TPA consultancy donated CZK 35,000 to the shelter to buy tools as part of the global Giving Tuesday campaign. Since the beginning, TPA has been involved in the global Dni dikuvzdání (Giving Days), which is always on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, this year’s seventh edition fell on 29 November.
“We have been supporting the Dlaň životu common benefit organization not only financially but also materially for several years now. We have been involved in the volunteer global Giving Tuesday since the first year, and this is the seventh year. This year we decided to support Dlaň životu with a financial amount, which was used to purchase a quality chainsaw, a hedge cutter, a technical vacuum cleaner and other small tools.” says Rostislav Kuneš, Director-General of TPA.
The common benefit organization Dlaň životu provides support to pregnant women in need and mothers with children in overcoming adverse situations by offering accommodation, counselling and facilities. This helps mothers to become independent and participate in everyday life.
Giving Tuesday is a global celebration of volunteering and giving that encourages and celebrates the desire to help. Last year, more than 240 appeals were registered for Giving Tuesday in the Czech Republic alone. More than 40 countries around the world have joined the campaign with an official Giving Tuesday presence, whether through financial support for those in need, volunteering or a charity campaign.
