We have donated a total of 20 fruit hampers for healthcare workers in the so-called frontline at Thomayer Hospital (TH). We have thus decided to support the extremely demanding and responsible work of doctors and other healthcare workers from the Krč hospital.
We have been working together with TH in the context of “Běh pro Thomajerku” (Run for Thomayer), for instance, which had to be cancelled, however, in view of the current coronavirus epidemic. We have also for several years been helping at charity bazaars organized by Nadačni fond Centra podpůrné péče Thomajerovy nemocnice Lečivka (Endowment Fund of the Thomayer Hospital Centre of Supportive Care Lečivka) and we organize a company collection of clothing suitable for sale at the bazaar.
The thought or idea of supporting healthcare workers in their work came up at the beginning of the fruit hamper project. Gastrofresh s.r.o., a major supplier of fresh fruit and vegetables on the Czech market, came up with the idea. Because we work together with both TH and Gastrofresh, the project impressed us and we decided to support it.
