Innovation, a human and individual approach to employees, responsibility towards business partners, an emphasis on environmental issues and philanthropy are just some of the reasons why Isolit-Bravo was declared the Gentleman Company of the Year 2019. Isolit-Bravo is a purely Czech company specialising in plastic products and plastic moulds, particularly for the automotive industry, and the manufacturer of Bravo household appliances. The special TPA award Gentleman Company of the Year was announced on 12 June as part of the CZECH TOP 100 gala evening at the Vladislav Hall of Prague Castle. The award for Isolit-Bravo was received by Milan Žemlička, HR Director.

Members of the Executive Committee of Gentleman Company of the Year led by Rostislav Kuneš and Jana Vítková of consulting firm TPA went through 11 applications to select a shortlist of 5 finalists. The Gentleman Company of the Year 2019 award ultimately went to Isolit-Bravo of Jablonné nad Orlicí and the prize was presented at the CZECH TOP 100 gala evening at the Vladislav Hall to Milan Žemlička, HR Director at Isolit-Bravo.

“Personally I have to say that I will remember the meeting with the owner of the winning company, Mr Kvido Štěpánek, for a long time. He’s a very inspiring man who managed to make the work of his employees both responsible and fun. Together they organise various events for the local community, former colleagues and business partners. The company leases one of its buildings to the local kindergarten for a symbolic price, its company canteen is open to everyone and also offers food delivery. They help not just in their municipality and region, but also outside the Czech Republic. This year, they already dispatched several humanitarian aid convoys to Ukraine. And this is by no means an exhaustive list of their responsible actions,” says Jana Vítková, TPA partner and member of the Executive Committee of Gentleman Company of the Year.

“We visited all five finalists in person and reaching the decision was perhaps more difficult this year than ever before in the history of the award. Just behind the winner Isolit-Bravo was EFES, a company that imports fruit and vegetables. This company impressed us with the number of certificates for quality management and environmental sustainability, its contribution to healthy meals at schools and its support of employees and public activities,“ adds Rostislav Kuneš, CEO of TPA.
